Low mintage
The scarcity of this coin has led to a surge in demand among collectors seeking to complete their collections.
The increasing rarity of these coins have made them more attractive to collectors and investors alike. With fewer pieces available in circulation, the likelihood of acquiring one in your change has greatly diminished.
As savvy collectors understand the importance of rarity, coins that were initially released at a nominal face value are highly sought after.
This rare coin has a mintage figure of just 200,000 which makes this coin one of the most sought after since the Kew Gardens 50p.

No privy mark
Only in the 2023 Royal Mint annual sets did the obverse (heads side) of the definitive coins feature a privy mark in the form of the Tudor Crown, which forms part of The King’s cypher. These sets were issued in a Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
However, the circulated version of this 50p coin which in today's market is much more sought after, does not feature the privy mark on the obverse.

100% Genuine
Taken from sealed Royal Mint bags, these 50p coins are 100% authentic

Entered circulation in 2023
On 12th October 2023, it was all change for UK coinage as our 8 definitive coins (from the 1p to the £2) saw a complete redesign.
Not only did this mean that after 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II appearing on our coins, each coin had a brand new obverse featuring King Charles III, but it also meant brand new reverse designs for each coin.
The definitve 50p coins feature an atlantic salmon alongside a design of interconnecting letter ‘C’s to represent King Charles III.
